Flat Fee Rates

MWL offers high-quality "in-house" legal counsel to small businesses with flat monthly subscription costs and flat-fee rates. Most clients will be on a flat-fee monthly rate although projects can also be completed on a flat-fee basis if that is preferable, so that the client can fairly budget.

General Counsel Services

General Counsel services are provided on a monthly flat free rate. The monthly fee depends on the size of the business, the number of employees, the number of weekly consultations (including management trainings & employee meetings) desired. Lower and higher monthly fees are available for clients with part-time businesses (e.g., art galleries open by appointment only with no employees) or multiple businesses (e.g., owners with 2+ different businesses). For most businesses, the General Counsel service will range from approximately $2,250 per month to $12,000 per month, but these rates can be slightly lower for new small start-ups that only need basic business plan assistance and slightly higher for businesses that expect to need more support with managing outside litigation counsel.

Business Legal Services

Other basic legal counseling services can be provided on a flat-fee basis as needed. Due to the complicated process of taking on new clients, the lowest flat-fee for basic business contracts is $5,000. In general, most legal services can be completed for under $20,000.
